Before First Use

Wash cookware thoroughly with:

  • Warm water
  • Mild dish soap
  • Soft sponge or cloth
  • Rinse and dry completely

Preheating Tips

For best cooking performance:

  • Place cookware on burner over medium heat
  • Heat for 5 minutes
  • Add oil or butter

Avoid overheating empty cookware.

Proper Heat Settings

Frigidaire® tri-ply cookware heats efficiently and retains heat well. High heat is rarely necessary. Recommended settings:

  • Low heat: Simmering, sauces
  • Medium heat: Most cooking
  • Medium-high heat: Searing

Excessive high heat may cause:

  • Discoloration
  • Burnt residue
  • Warping from overheating
  • Reduced cookware lifespan

Everyday Cleaning

Allow cookware to cool before washing.

Wash using:

  • Warm water
  • Mild dish soap
  • Soft sponge or cloth
  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning

Dishwasher Use

Dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended to help preserve the cookware's appearance and finish.

Removing Stuck Food

Water and Dish Soap Method

  • Fill cookware with warm water
  • Add mild dish soap
  • Allow to soak
  • Use a non-abrasive sponge

Baking Soda and Vinegar Method

  • Cover the bottom of the pan with water and white vinegar in equal parts
  • Bring to a boil on the stovetop
  • Add baking soda and stir, letting it simmer for about a minute
  • Remove from the heat and let the pan cool for a few minutes
  • Scrub the pan with a sponge or soft brush and wash with dish soap

Baking Soda Paste Method

  • Remove loose food debris from the pan
  • Make a paste of baking soda and a small amount of water
  • Spread it on the affected area and let it sit for at least 15 minutes
  • Scrub the burnt area with the paste using a soft brush or sponge
  • Rinse the pan well and repeat if necessary

For tougher stains, use a stainless steel cleaner following manufacturer instructions.

Removing Rainbow or Blue Tint

Rainbow or blue discoloration is caused by high heat exposure and is common with stainless steel cookware.

  • Add a small amount of white vinegar to a soft cloth or sponge
  • Gently rub the affected area
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm water
  • Dry completely

For tougher discoloration, use a stainless steel cleaner following manufacturer instructions.

Removing White Spots

White spots or cloudy marks are typically caused by minerals in water or salt added before water boils.

  • Mix equal parts water and white vinegar
  • Apply to affected area or simmer mixture briefly in cookware
  • Wash with warm soapy water
  • Rinse and dry thoroughly

To help prevent white spots:

  • Add salt only after water has reached a boil
  • Dry cookware immediately after washing

Removing Browning or Dark Stains

Brown or dark stains are usually caused by overheated oil or food residue.

  • Soak cookware in warm soapy water
  • Use a non-abrasive sponge or soft cloth
  • Apply a stainless steel cleaner if needed
  • Rinse and dry thoroughly
